CMCC is a GBAC Star Facility
The health and safety of our visitors is our top priority, which is why we elected to pursue the GBAC Star Facility Accreditation. GBAC Star is the gold standard for safe facilities, and the cleaning industry's only outbreak preparation, response, and recovery accreditation.
To qualify, we follow a rigorous set of cleaning protocols and disinfection techniques. We also maintain strictly documented infection prevention practices to combat biohazards and prevent the spread of infectious diseases, including sterilization of high-touch surfaces.
As science evolves, our guidelines will too, ensuring that we're always keeping our visitors safe based on the latest information available from the scientific community.
Nothing is more important than the comfort, health, and safety of our visitors. The GBAC accreditation means that visitors and event planners can be secure in the knowledge that our facility meets the highest standard of cleanliness.
To date, we are one of only 10% of convention centers in North America that have received this credential, although many more are currently working toward it.
About the GBAC Star Facility Accreditation
The Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) created the GBAC Star program to help venues prepare for and respond to infectious diseases like COVID-19. The GBAC scientific advisory board is comprised of infectious disease experts from around the country. These experts will be constantly evaluating and updating GBAC standards to ensure that GBAC Star Facilities are using the latest science-based information to keep visitors healthy and safe.
